Cost Structure

Each book and budget are different. You need to be aware that the choices you make for your book will affect the cost of your book, such as:

Let us know your specifications and needs and we will provide you with an estimate to test against other printing suppliers in the marketplace.

Printing Cost

Prices vary with the page size chosen, the number of pages, and the size of the printrun, using colour images, and the paper quality chosen. All printing quotes obtained include a 4-colour laminated/ celloglazed cover, and the delivery of the books to your door. Graphic design for the Cover artwork is an additional cost. Firm Quotes can be obtained from our printers as required. You are invited to compare our prices with those of other suppliers.

It is possible to have a mix of Hardcover and Softcover books within the one printrun, e.g. if you wish to print 150 copies, you may request 100 as Paperbacks, and 50 as Hardcover. The Hardcover in a mixed printrun is about $40.00 - $50.00 extra per book.

Timing Printing normally takes 2 - 3 weeks from the printer's receipt of the edited manuscript in print-ready format.

Printing Cost Estimates in Paperback cover

Economies of Scale will reduce the ‘per page’ price for larger books (over 200 pages) and for larger quantities. Quotes remain valid for 30 days only on the same specifications, but may vary at the expiry of the quote because of changing materials costs.

Where colour images or coloured text are included throughout your book, the entire book needs to be printed completely in colour.

Prices for colour printing have been greatly reduced with modern digital print machines able to identify a mix of colour and greyscale pages mixed within the one print file, where the print file has been prepared as a PDF file which identifies those pages in colour, and those in greyscale, enabling the machine to automatically convert during the print process.

Prices vary according to the number of colour pages within the file. No obligation quotes can be obtained on your proposed combination of greyscale and colour.
